Eternally Grateful for North Carolina Baptists

Life changed suddenly for Annissa Ramey when her young daughter found her unconscious and an ambulance rushed her to Baptist Hospital.

“I was in a coma four days with meningitis, and the doctors didn’t know if I would survive,” Annissa said. “I’m so thankful that God spared my life – and my husband and daughter the pain of losing me.” Within a week she was home, and after a month of antibiotics, her recovery was complete.

While grateful for renewed health, Annissa was burdened by disturbing worries about medical bills. With limited income, an unexpected hospital bill cast an overwhelming shadow of fear. “I was afraid we would be paying on the bill the rest of our lives.”

When they learned that North Carolina Baptists paid her bill in the name of Jesus Christ and His love, the Rameys were filled with heartfelt gratitude. “All I could do was cry. I will be eternally grateful to those who helped us and could never say thank you enough. I have a newfound joy in my life for all that God has done for me.”
